Dadbloguk is one of the few UK-based dad blogs to have followed a family from the birth of a child, through the early years and pre-school and into the school years. It has also followed the journey of writer John Adams, from leaving full-time employment and becoming the main carer for his kids whilst his wife works full-time, detailing the challenges and highlighting and challenging the casual sexism he has faced along the way from a society that still doesn’t quite know how to handle a man who has volunteered to live this way.

Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through our Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them. They give the compassionate one-to-one support, guidance and practical solutions people need, and that can be hard to find elsewhere. Admiral Nurses are continually trained, developed and supported by Dementia UK. Families that have their support have someone truly expert and caring by their side. They are a lifeline helping families to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear. We believe that everyone who needs the support of a specialist dementia nurse should get one, and we’re working hard to increase the number of Admiral Nurses across the UK.

Dewis Cymru is the place to go if you want information or advice about your well-being – or want to know how you can help somebody else. When we talk about your well-being, we don’t just mean your health. We mean where you live, how safe and secure you feel, getting out and about, and keeping in touch with family and friends. No two people are the same; well-being means different things to different people. So Dewis Cymru is here to help you discover more about what matters to you. We’ve got information that can help you think about what matters to you, and we’ve also got information about people and services in your area that can help you with the things that matter to you.
